Valentine's Day 2019

Happy Valentine's day all my mini readers!  My life is definitely better with all of you in it! It's always nice to take out the seasonal minis and do up a scene.

1st and 2nd Floors

I'm very pleased to share an updated tour of the dollhouse on the blog today, including a video!  The first and second floors are glued together and primed, and the windows have been cut and painted.  The last of the structural design dilemmas were sorted during this process (which caused…

Dollhouse Nursery Collection

I have been so looking forward to sharing these amazing handcrafted miniatures with you all.  For Christmas this year my boyfriend surprised me with some major miniature love.  I kind of knew a mini mitre saw was in the works, but I hadn't been expecting the surprise nursey collection he gi…

Happy 2019!

Happy New Year everyone!  With all this snow outside I couldn't help but break out the tropical plants and vibe for this scene!

Merry Miniature Christmas 2018

A very merry Christmas to all my followers!  I was able to assemble my roombox in time to do a small Christmas scene.  The best part was getting to see what all my colours and stains look like together since this will be the same style for the big dollhouse.

Kitchen Construction Pt. 1

This is the first of what I expect to be many posts on the dollhouse's kitchen. I'm starting right from the beginning and sharing my inspiration, plans for the design, and current construction progress.

Hanging Lights & Faucets

Construction continues on the dollhouse...  I'm jumping a little bit ahead into the decoration process, but I've made some 3D printed hanging light fixtures and a selection of kitchen faucets to pick through.  (All that computer design time has made for one quiet blogger!)

Priming Walls and Summer Progress

Stairs and Living Room Design

Dollhouse building took an unexpected turn this past week.  I've made several design changes to the house structure to increase load-bearing support.  Today I'm focusing on the entry/living space progress and looking back at how I came up with the new layout.  I've also got some n…

Dollhouse Miniatures Magazine Feature

Hi everyone, a little update while I work on my next blog post.  I just received my copy of the Dollhouse Miniatures magazine in the mail and I'm excited to share my 2017 Creatin Contest entry, the Belmont dollhouse, has been featured!   I'm so humbled to be included alongside some ot…

Construction Continued

A little update on the dollhouse for you this weekend.  It's been slow going because I (as usual) decided to re-cut everything to get the design right.  (And I mean every single piece!)  The house is a little wider now by about 3 inches to better fit the interior stairway and I replaced all t…
